Chocolate has always been therapeutic for me. During my years living in Costa Rica, Egypt, and the Seychelles, everyone knew I had a secret stash hidden somewhere. I’ll never forget the joy on children’s faces when I’d bring out my treasured box of UK chocolate treats to share.

But my relationship with cacao deepened when I traveled to Belize and participated in my first ceremonial cacao journeys. I had experienced many types of ceremonies before, but there was something uniquely beautiful about cacao—the gentleness, the profound emotional release, the way it opened my heart without overwhelming my senses. It wasn’t about altered states or escaping reality. It was about arriving fully, feeling everything, and touching something pure: bliss, unconditional love, a gentle knowing, and finally—deep, soul-level love.

Born in Venezuela, where cacao has flowed through the mountains and valleys for thousands of years, I feel this plant’s journey mirrors my own path across continents and cultures. Venezuela’s sacred relationship with cacao—as a bridge between the Amazon’s origins and Mesoamerica’s ceremonial traditions—runs through my blood.

Living now in Canada, I sometimes watch how busy people’s lives have become—the constant doing, the endless rushing. I wanted to bring this sacred experience here, to offer a space where people can pause, remember how important they are in the universe, and reconnect with the immense love they can feel for themselves and others.

I trained with a Guatemalan Mayan who was raised in the traditional ways of cacao ceremony, and completed my facilitator training in Belize, honoring the lineage that flows from the Amazon through my Venezuelan roots to the Maya—bringing this ancient wisdom home to share with you.
